I have over 12 years of experience in tutoring and teaching. My teaching experience is mostly homeschooling where I did much like a teacher to create the lesson, homework and do grading while keeping a grade book. I am able to determine when lessons need to be retaught or gone over again among many other aspects of teaching. I am experienced in one-on-one or group leading tutoring as well. I typically meet students at a location in Katy such as starbucks. If you would rather in-home tutoring, I have a team of other tutors whom I lead and manage with college degrees and experience like mine that I can send to tutor you or your child. The rate is the same either way. All the tutors I team up with know what they are doing and have degrees to back up the subjects they tutor or teach. If you chose this option, I will keep up with you to make sure you are pleased with the services the tutor is providing and offer a different tutor or the option to meet me at a location in Katy as an alternative. What is a trial class?

Finding the right tutor takes more than a teaching profile page – it requires the right chemistry… Therefore, all our tutor members have agreed to offer new students a trial class to help determine if there’s a great fit. This means no semester-long contracts… just find a tutor, pay the flat NextGuru trial class fee and have a test run!

What happens after the trial?

That’s completely up to you! You have no obligation to continue classes. If you decide to continue, you work out the details (including schedule and payment method) directly with your instructor. If the chemistry wasn’t right, just come back to NextGuru and you can try another instructor…

How does NextGuru get paid?

All instructors are eligible for free membership – this is critical so that you can have the broadest, most diverse selection of teachers possible. Therefore, instead of paying a mandatory membership fee or a commission on lessons, our tutor members have given up their one-time trial class fee to help pay for technology and marketing costs.
