My name is Jonathan, and I have a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and Plant Biology from North Carolina State University. I have been teaching for the past 8 years and I am a certified teacher in the state of North Carolina. I tailor my teaching to the student not the subject, because every student is unique and may learn differently. Whether you love science or hate it, my goal is to help you see the world around you like a scientist does. I feel that once you can see science in action, understanding it is a breeze. Along with my science background, I also hold a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and Hapkido. I am trained in traditional forms, practical self defense, and some weapons training. Taekwondo literally translates into "The way of foot and fist", and combines kicking, punching, and evasion techniques in order to create a well-rounded self defense style that provides flexibility in protecting yourself and your loved ones. My goal is to build confidence, discipline, respect for oneself and others, as well as physical abilities.
